About Us
The California Electric Motorcycle Coalition supports the development of electric motorcycles and an electric motorcycle market in California. We do this by supporting electric motorcycle regulations and targets, providing a rider-first perspective on charging and features, and making sure there are a variety of models that meet the needs of current and future motorcycle riders and enthusiasts.
Motorcyclists are directly impacted by road emissions, and gas-powered motorcycles create significantly more pollution than even a new gas car. Electric motorcycles reduce tailpipe emissions, will eventually be cheaper to purchase and maintain, and open the doors to a new, larger base of riders that were not welcomed under the existing motorcycle models.
Why Electric Motorcycles?
Cleaner Air
Gas-powered motorcycles produce significantly more pollution per mile than a new gas car. Electric motorcycles have zero tailpipe emissions.
Lower Costs
Fewer moving parts means less maintenance. No oil changes, no gas. Electric motorcycles will eventually be cheaper to buy and own.
Grow the Community
Electric motorcycles open the doors to a new generation of riders who weren't welcomed by traditional motorcycle culture.
